Having moved to Gainesville 34 years ago, I love our community and hope that you will come to love it too. Gainesville continues to be ranked among the top cities in which to raise families and to retire. With the wealth of resources that the university provides, we enjoy access to cultural, social, political, outdoor events, parks, etc. that are often not found in communities as small as Gainesville. People often comment, Gainesville is small enough to always know someone but big enough to always meet new people. Welcome!
